This review is from: (Gift Box) Vintage Soda Variety Pack (3 Each of 4 American Classic Sodas) (Misc.)
Some time ago (September, 2009) I wrote a review for Mexican Coke. It came in 12-ounce bottles in a 24-bottle case. The bottles resembled the old fashioned Coke bottles. The main distinction between Mexican Coke and that manufacture in the USA was that Mexican coke was made with cane sugar whereas American Coke was made with high fructose corn syrup. Some people worry about possible health effects of HFCS and others simply don't like the taste as well. Personally, I think the Mexican Coike tastes a bit better. Gormet Coca Cola? Well, whatever, Mexican Coke has now become a big favorite and you can find it all over, even in restaurents.
Now, on my last trip to my local Costco store, I found a 12-bottle case of "Vintage Soda," a variety of past-famous American soda beverages. There's Dad's Root Beer, Bubble Up, Nesbitt's Orange Soda and NuGrape Soda. All are made with cane sugar. They're quite good, but I have no standard bottles for comparison. Also, I only rarely drink... Read more

Blue Sky Organic New Century Cola, 12-Ounce Cans (Pack of 24) Reviews
Blue Sky Organic New Century Cola, 12-Ounce Cans (Pack of 24) Reviews
This review is from: Blue Sky Organic New Century Cola, 12-Ounce Cans (Pack of 24) (Grocery)
The closest store that I can find blue sky soda is an hour away and it sells it for $1.25 a can so finding it here was fantastic. The New Century soda doesn't differ too much from the regular soda, I can tell a slight difference but probably wouldn't notice unless I knew it was a different kind. Really fantastic, it is more expensive than coke or pepsi but at least I know that the ingredients weren't coming from a lab.

I LOVE this soda. It is made from real cola nuts and sugar and you can taste the difference. To be fair, I don't drink much soda and feel fairly guilty when I do. Soda is just one of the top ten worst things you can consume on a regular basis, let's be honest. So when I do get an occasional craving for it, I try to at least moderate the badness of the choice. I started drinking this soda whenever I'd stop into a local pizza place, until I started craving the soda more than the pizza. At almost $2 a can elsewhere, I decided to spring for a case on Amazon.
Is this Coke or Pepsi? NO! If you love those brands, you may not like this and as it is the more expensive of the choices, you're probably better off sticking with those chemical and corn syrup-laden options. However, if you are like me and eat mostly natural, organic and healthy fare (or want to), this is a delicious occasional indulgence. It is unusual in taste... it is almost more carbonation than flavor, if... Read more

With all due respect to Pepsi for at least trying, "Throwback" isn't for all cola drinkers fleeing high fructose corn syrup; it's for regular Pepsi drinkers. After trying at least four twelve packs, I simply cannot get past the Pepsi flavoring (which I have never liked). I recently spent some time in Texas, and H-E-B (which all but dominates the Texas grocery market) came out with its own "pure cane sugar" cola, which costs half of "Throwback" and just over a third the cost of Blue Sky, and it is great stuff. Unfortunately, they don't do mail order. So, until I can get my hands on more, Blue Sky is the best available unless you like paying more for the microbrewery equivalent to "pure cane sugar" cola, organic or non-organic.
Oh, and curiously, Amazon is selling the organic version of Blue Sky cola for the same price as the non-organic six-packs you might find in your local grocer's Natural Foods section.

This review is from: Kidsmania Soda Can Fizzy Candy, 1.47-Ounce Cans (Pack of 12) (Grocery)
This is some great stuff. My kids found it when one went to girl scout camp a year ago and couldnt find it since. We went camping a few weeks ago and found it in the camp store and bought them out! The kids were begging me to find it again and got the family we camped with hooked. It is alot for the money and even my husband eats the grape. It is fizzy and fun.

My kids love this fizzy soda candy, but it is pretty difficult to find. Each unit comes with six cans of four flavors (two sprint/lemon lime, one crash/orange, one local cola/cola, and two grape. The best thing about the candy is that it has a nice fizz to it. A case of 12 packs is a good deal at this price!
