The New Century soda doesn't differ too much from the regular soda, I can tell a slight difference but probably wouldn't notice unless I knew it was a different kind. It is made from real cola nuts and sugar and you can taste the difference. To be fair, I don't drink much soda and feel fairly guilty when I do. After trying at least four twelve packs, I simply cannot get past the Pepsi flavoring (which I have never liked). I recently spent some time in Texas, and H-E-B (which all but dominates the Texas grocery market) came out with its own "pure cane sugar" cola, which costs half of "Throwback" and just over a third the cost of Blue Sky, and it is great stuff. Unfortunately, they don't do mail order. So, until I can get my hands on more, Blue Sky is the best available unless you like paying more for the microbrewery equivalent to "pure cane sugar" cola, organic or non-organic.Oh, and curiously, Amazon is selling the organic version of Blue Sky cola for the same price as the non-organic six-packs you might find in your local grocer's Natural Foods section. |
